I strongly agree to this, it's pretty basic To be honest starting the new year and seeing this has still not been enabled made we consider looking at alternatives to Tally It's a small thing that creates a very negative experience for users. I rely heavily on the character limit to challenge people to be succinct in their responses but the fact there is a limit without a count makes it a terrible experience and I often get complaints about it This does feel pretty basic and exists in most of your competitors
I can't believe this does not exist yet! The user NEEDS live feedback to know how off they are and how much need to write to meet the criteria. And the criteria should also be shown to the user like in a Typeform. Otherwise we have to manually write a sentence stating the criteria. This is still ok, but first one is critical.
