Thanks for using Tally and for sharing your feature request, Emil! We really appreciate you taking the time. ✌️ We also added you to a similar request which may help achieving those requirements; https://tally.so/feedback/board/p/search-submissions-data?na…
I've got a survey going with 53,000 responses. There are 20 or so troll responses. Every time I re-export the responses, I have to delete the trolls after I import to Google Sheets, because it's not possible to search for a specific response in the Tally UI and delete it there. Some participants have contacted me to change their answers, and it's fine and ethical for them to do that. But because it's not possible to locate their entry within the Tally UI and edit it there, every time I export the CSV and import it to Google I have to modify those answers manually again.
Please do this. We have over thousands of submissions and it is an absolute pain to try and go find the the attachments to the submission. Love the tool but if a competitor offered a better solution on this, I would probably leave
Thanks for using Tally and for sharing your feature request, Thamires! We really appreciate you taking the time. ✌️ We also added you to this request: https://tally.so/feedback/board/p/search-submissions-data?th…
Hi Jon, Thanks for reaching out. At the moment, it isn’t possible to download uploaded files filtered by a specific submission date. Currently, the available options are: Download files individually, one by one Download all uploaded files from the form together I've noted this as a feature request, and thanks for taking the time to share it.
Hi there, Thanks a lot for the suggestion —we’ll definitely take this into account for future improvements. As a temporary workaround, you can use one of our integrations to send submissions in real time to tools like: Airtable Google Sheets Coda and others https://tally.so/help/integrations Once your submissions are synced there, you can easily search, filter, and manage them. For example, Airtable works particularly well for this type of workflow. Thanks again for sharing the suggestion.
agreed this would be really helpful
Yes!
I need this as well!
This feature would be super useful for me. Some of my surveys result in thousands of submissions and being able to locate someone's submission by searching their email address, even just to check if they have or haven't submitted the form, would be a life saver. I know I can feed data into Airtable to search in there, but that feels like a overengineering of what could be a simple search feature.
100% agree
Hi Viktor Malyshev, Thanks for submitting this feedback request! 🙌🏼 I definitely see the value of having some filters to review submission data from different time periods. I'll be merging this to a more general request that should be related. As a workaround for now, I'd suggest using our Notion integraton (https://tally.so/help/notion-integration) or another (https://tally.so/help/integrations). What you can do is forward the submission data to another platform, which has filtering functionality and adjust from there to meet your goals/preferences. Thanks for your patience as we consider working on a native solution in the future.
Thank you so much for the suggestion! As a workaround, we recommend connecting your form to Airtable using our native integration: https://tally.so/help/airtable-integration This way, all your submissions will sync in real-time, and you can easily search and filter data directly from Airtable. You can also explore other integrations here: https://tally.so/help/integrations That said, we truly appreciate your feedback and we’ll keep this request in mind.
Hey Ophélie! There’s no built-in search for submissions at the moment, but a simple workaround is to connect Tally to Airtable — submissions sync in real time, and you can easily search and filter them there. Here’s how to set it up: https://tally.so/help/airtable-integration 🙌 We’ve also noted down your suggestion — thanks for sharing it! ✌
Thanks for the suggestion 🙌 While Tally doesn’t have a built-in search for submissions, you can use our free real-time Airtable integration. Your form submissions will automatically sync into Airtable, where you can easily filter, sort, group, and search through the data. Here’s the guide to set it up: 👉 https://tally.so/help/airtable-integration
Thanks for the suggestion, Eli! For now, the best way to search and filter your submissions is by integrating with AirTable — it’s free, connects to Tally in real time, and lets you filter, search, sort, and more. You can learn how to set it up here: https://tally.so/help/airtable-integration
Thanks for the suggestion! We’ll definitely keep this in mind. 🙌 As a temporary workaround, you can use our free Airtable integration and group submissions by date directly in Airtable. Here you have a guide: https://tally.so/help/airtable-integration
Hi Tally! My team is growing quite frustrated by the lack of a search feature among submissions (and, ideally, all forms, but at least at first among one), which causes a looot of lost time, lost energy and bad emotions, because sometimes you have to review a lot of pages with cmd+F before finding and answer, back and forth, and you could have to do it dozens of times per day! Thanks a lot in advance for creating and improving this very needed feature! — conflicted Tally fans
Hi Karine Galantini, you can export submissions as csv at the top right of your submissions table, which you can open in excel. Sorting is not possible today, I added your request to a similar one.
Hi Jan Hecker, thanks for this request! If possible, could you also share a screenshot with us at tally.so/support?
Frederik Simoen Here it is:
Hi Muhammad Sohail Asghar, thanks for this request! I see how you envision this feature and its intended purpose. While I can't make any promises about if or when it might be implemented, rest assured that you'll see updates here if anything changes. Thanks again for your contribution!
Hi Anas Khan and Optical Hub, thanks for this request! I've merged it with a similar one.
Also - filter base on time !!
Yuval Yechi: thanks for this request! I've merged it with a similar one.
agree. any sort of search. even if only by sumbission ID.
agree! I need to be able to search who submitted what from the dashboard, I have a million forms and it's a ton of time to go form by form to look and see who submitted what. If I could search for a name or email from the dashboard and it would pull up that persons details for any form submitted that would be amazing
Search in general for whatever term would be super useful
Totally
+1 !
