Revamp calculated field calculation with a text field / formula approach

Using the "concat" option for instance to build a URL, which is going to be a mix of text and field inputs as parameters, is a bit of a nightmare. Takes ages and takes up a lot of screen real estate. I think the ideal approach would be to have one large text field where we can add text and drop in variables (form inputs) wherever we'd like.

Hey all, The formula editor is now available for everyone. Combine multiple operations in one go, reference any field with @ mentions, concatenate text, and get real-time validation. Hope you like it, enjoy!

I tried out formulas a bit (via the API) and it's really good how much more powerful it is. Could matrix rows please be supported? The value should be the column header (as it currently is with the other calculation modes), currently if I use the row UUID in {{ }} in the formula, the value is the column UUID.

Hi Joko, Anda mungkin perlu menggunakan Google Terjemahan atau sejenisnya untuk sisa pesan ini. Thanks for submitting this request! We currently have our Calculated fields (https://tally.so/help/form-calculator) + Conditional logic features (https://tally.so/help/conditional-form-logic), that should be able to help with automating calculations within the form. We'll also be introducing formulas momentarily to streamline this experience and open new possibilities related to calculating data in the forms. Feel free to contact us to join the beta, here; https://tally.so/support

Right, and to add also advanced formulas - the ability to connect parameters (similar to a mini Excel sheet) to normalize total scores to percentages, round numbers, and calculate averages.

Addition to this: `jinja2`-like templating would be cool, so it’d be possible to do things like uppercase / replace etc with form fields as input.
