much needed!
yes, like adding a default block that the user can add as many times he wants (or up to a predefined number) during the completion of the survey.
Hi Jasmine! 😊 Thanks a lot for trying out Tally — really appreciate it! It looks like there may have been a bit of confusion here. At the moment, we don’t have a native “Repeat group” feature in Tally (AI tools can sometimes suggest features that don’t actually exist). That said, you can achieve a similar result with these workarounds: Duplicate a single block: click the three dots on the left of the block → Duplicate Duplicate multiple blocks: select them (like you would text), then use Cmd/Ctrl + C and Cmd/Ctrl + V This is currently the best way to “repeat” sections in Tally. If your use case is a bit more specific and this doesn’t fully solve it, feel free to reach out to our support team at https://tally.so/support with your form URL and what you’re trying to achieve — we’ll point you in the right direction.
This would be hands down one of the best features I could hope for. Ability to click + and keep adding person details and storing them as a table. Instead of creating 10 combos of Name, Age and DOB for each person and using conditional logic to show and hide is very painful.
Please bring this fast
Just want to echo that I think finding a repeater of some kind is a priority. Trying to build an OKR submission system for our team, but with up to 5 Objectives with 2 fields each, 6 Key Results for each Objective with 3 fields each, we are looking at 100 fields in total. At this point, I'm so bought into the idea of Tally, that I really don't want to get another tool, but this is close to dealbreaker. I will also point out that I think it would be nice to not just build a "dumb" repeater that simply multiplies the question in hand, but actually one that in a matrix/json/similar format can handle the multiple answers to the one repeating question as one, meaning you don't have to deal with the Many-to-One complexity when inputting it into for example a Notion database. Love your product though – keep rocking it!
Yes, please! I would pay for this feature!
This is super important, really think it would be useful to have this feature.
The workaround works for simple forms but it's time consuming. Being able to assign fields to a repeater section would be so much better. Please help us upvote this feature. Thanks for making such a wonderful forms builder. I recently upgraded to the paid version and it's well worth it. Tally is the best!
Hi all, while we have no native solution to do this, the workaround is documented in this article: https://tally.so/help/how-to-repeat-questions-and-get-multip… Rest assured we are aware of the limitations of this workaround and understand how you envision this feature and its intended purpose. While I can't make any promises about if or when it might be implemented, rest assured that you'll see updates here if anything changes. Thanks again for your contribution!
I need this to be able to allow users enter a number value and then display field groups depending on that number. Example: How many of your staff have kids = 4 *Prints 4 field groups asking for kids information - firstname, lastname, age, etc...
Hi Fest5 India, could you elaborate on this feature request so I can better understand your requirements? 🙏
Filip Minev Please check the attached screenshot. Unlimited times user can add slot (add more). Thank you 🙏
Fest5 India: we have this workaround which might come in handy for you: https://tally.so/help/how-to-repeat-questions-and-get-multip…
Filip Minev Thank you for your quick response. Yes, I have used this way, it is limited to as many as conditions i can add.
You description of email and phone fields say that they allow someone to add "emails" - always plural, but it seem it only allow someone to add "an email". Unless I'm missing something about the features this seems gramatically incorrect.
I also need this to ask for details on symptoms. If user checks symptom A and Other, they should be able to give details on symptom A, then on custom Other symptom, without having to copy-paste the same questions + conditional logic to display everywhere (which is cumbersome with many entries).
Would be really helpful for us too!
This would be great!
Yes pleaaaaaaaaaase the "workaround" is so limited (and a pain)
