Keep the progress bar visible when scrolling down
When a page within a form is long, the user needs to scroll down and no longer sees the progress bar as it always stays at the very top of the page. Given the limited width of the form, vertical space gets used up quickly. This way, the progress bar partially loses its purpose in two ways:
1) The user does not see their progress within a single page once the progress bar disappears due to scrolling;
2) The user may completely forget and ignore the progress bar due to seeing it in very brief moments and not noticing the change, resulting in losing track of the overall progress.
Context: I have a rather long form that consists of 8-9 pages and takes 10-15 min to complete, so each page takes a minute or two, and it makes a lot of sense to see the progress at any given moment without the need to scroll up on the page.
Proposed solution: keep the progress bar appearance as it is but keep it at the top of the screen at all times rather than at the top of the page. Color adjustment from white to black is perhaps necessary in case a cover image is used.
