Google Sheet - option to select which columns to synch
We sometimes need to share live updates from our forms with users outside our organization. It would be great if we could select which columns to synchronize when we setup a Google Sheets integration. For example, let's say the form is for an event registration. We setup one integration that has all the columns for internal users, but then setup another that has just the total tickets and names to share with the rest of the planning committee that are external users.

Hi Judy, Thank you very much for your suggestion — we really appreciate you taking the time to share this use case. While it’s not currently possible to select specific columns to sync when setting up a Google Sheets integration, there are a couple of workarounds you can consider: Workaround using Google Sheets You can connect your form to a new Google Sheet as usual and submit one test response so the sheet and all columns are created automatically. Once the sheet is generated, you can manually delete (or hide) the columns you don’t want to share. The integration will remain active, and no data will be sent to the removed columns. This way, you can keep only the fields you want visible for external collaborators. Alternative option: Use Airtable If you need more granular control over which fields are synced, we recommend using Airtable instead of Google Sheets. With the Airtable integration, you can map fields one by one during setup. This means you can choose exactly which form fields are sent to your database, allowing you to share only the necessary information. You can find full instructions for the Airtable integration here: https://tally.so/help/airtable-integration And of course, thank you again for the feature suggestion — it’s a very valid use case. If you need further help setting up either option, please feel free to reach out via our support page: https://tally.so/support We’re always happy to help.
