Feature Request: Conditional Field Logic with Auto-Population

Tally Forms would greatly benefit from a feature that allows conditional logic between fields, enabling values from one field to automatically populate or override another based on user input (IF / ELSE logic). This would reduce repetitive data entry, prevent errors, and support more dynamic business workflows without external automation.Example:If a user enters a Primary Phone Number and selects “Yes” for “Is this also your WhatsApp number?”, the WhatsApp Number field should auto-fill with the primary number. If “No” is selected, the field should allow manual input or retain its existing value. This capability would make Tally Forms more scalable, intelligent, and suitable for complex real-world use cases such as contact details, addresses, and service selection.

Hi Yash, Thanks for sharing this use case you're trying to accomplish. This is actually possible right now in Tally, using Calculated fields + Conditional logic + Default answer: - https://tally.so/help/form-calculator - https://tally.so/help/conditional-form-logic - https://tally.so/help/pre-populate-form-fields#8330f7fbe2904… When a condition is met (a selection), have the logic set the value of the Calculated field. The value will be dynamically applied based on the selection. So, in your case, if they select "Yes" → set Calculated field = Phone number. Use the Calculated field as the 'Default answer' of the WhatsApp number; then on "Yes", it will be pre-filled, on "No", it won't. Feel free to reach out to us via our support channel, with the form URL, if you're running into any issues setting this up; https://tally.so/support
