Feature request: Automatically collect verified respondent emails

Hi Tally team, I’d like to suggest an optional feature that allows form owners to automatically collect a respondent’s verified email address through Google sign-in or user have to create Tally account, without requiring respondents to manually enter their name or email address. Ideally, form owners could enable a setting such as “Collect verified email addresses.” Respondents would then authenticate with Google, reusing an existing signed-in session where possible, and see a clear notice that their email address will be recorded with their submission. The verified email would appear alongside their answers in the submission data and be included in exports and integrations. The goal is not to identify people anonymously or bypass authentication, but to remove manual identity entry while reliably identifying respondents. Individualized links and hidden fields are not the workflow we’re looking for; we need a shared link that identifies the account actually submitting the response. Would you consider adding this feature? Thank you <3

Hi! Thanks so much for the suggestion, and for explaining the use case so clearly. Signing in with Google (or a Tally account) to automatically record the respondent's email isn't something we offer today, so I've noted it down and we'll keep it in mind as we decide what to build next. In the meantime, the closest option is email verification on the Email block (a Tally Business feature): respondents enter their email and confirm it with a 6-digit code before they can continue, so you get a verified address from a single shared link. They still need to type it once, but you can be sure it's really theirs. More here: https://tally.so/help/email ✌️
