It's insanity this does not exist. As a user, it's faster for me to code a one page with all the logic than it is to use tally. And don't get me started on the inane ways to calculate scores using linear scales. Very disappointed
Hi Joao, Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us - we indeed appreciate your enthusiasm for this feature. We're currently working on making this available soon for everyone! We appreciate your patience🙏 In regard to your Calculated scores for your Linear scale blocks, please reach out to us via our email support channel, so we can provide assistance for your use case; https://tally.so/support
Lack of this is a dealbreaker, we'll be moving away from tally, such a nice tool otherwise :(
Need it
Thanks for sharing this! We understand your suggestion — you’re essentially asking for the ability to group multiple blocks (for example, headings, questions, or entire sections) so that Show / Hide logic can apply to the whole group, not just the heading. That said, you can still achieve the same result by applying Show / Hide logic to each block individually (for example, the heading, questions, and any related text), so the content you want is shown or hidden together. We really appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback and we’ll make sure it’s taken into account. If you haven’t been able to work around this in your form yet, feel free to reach out to us at https://tally.so/support and we’ll be happy to help you from there.
Need this asap
I would love to see this! We had an issue with a pretty lengthy multi-page form with pages shown based on selections and we didn't realize that we had to make long conditionals to have the form skip those pages if the selections weren't made
NEED THIS
Very important feature! Would be great to have it soon!
This is a must!
need this 🙏
+ !!! very important
Thanks for the suggestion. We’ve logged your input as part of ongoing requests around advanced logic and navigation. Appreciate you taking the time to share it.
+1 for this feature
+1 on this. The logic can get really enhanced if you can hide pages, not only blocks or specific questions. Please prioritize this.
Adding on to this, would it be possible to add the captcha to follow the conditional formatting rules
stampy bird: could you please create a separate request for this? thank you!
This seems the same as https://tally.so/feedback/p/conditionnal-logic-showhide-page ?
Another vote for this. Tally currently supports some incredible conditional logic for actual question parts, so this is the missing piece of the puzzle to be able to claim you have the best conditional logic of all survey tools out there.
It's a pain to set up (I only have 6 options on the initial question), but what worked for me was: When Q1 does not contain Option1 Then Jump to page2 When Q1 does not contain Option1 And Q1 does not contain Option2 Then jump to page3 When Q1 does not contain Option1 And Q1 does not contain Option2 And Q1 does not contain Option3 Then jump to page4 ... etc, etc. Ivan Jerkić
Hi Vardhan Shafi, the equivalent of that is the "Jump to page" action. Hope this helps.
Filip Minev Unfortunately I deleted my comment by mistake. I hope you have the copy of it in your email. If you do, can you please add it here for other to see.
Vardhan Shafi Yes, I got it by email. Thank you for the explanation! 🙏 I'll paste your comment below: The option of skipping pages would be the opposite of jumping to pages, in the category of "Jumping". In jumping to pages, you specify which page to SKIP TO, while when you skip, you specify which page to NOT SHOW. The difference is "skip to" vs. "skip". Or in other words, specifying "which pages to not show" vs. "which pages to show." Here's the use case: Let's say you have 30 pages in your form, and based on the answer on page 2, you take users through different user flows. If you have the "Skip Page" option, you can just specify which pages to skip based on the answers. Each answer would skip different set of pages. But currently, you have to create the jumping logic for the whole flow. Like, if the user selects A on page 2, jump to page 12. Then you'll have to go to page 12 and add another jumping logic like this, "If the user selects A on page 1, and then selects C on page 12, jump to page 14." And so on. This is what I'm currently doing, it's not much of a problem and is manageable. But my form will get more complicated, and I'll have to add more pages to it. Which will make the logic more complex as well. So, a "which page to not show" along with a "which page to show" option would be helpful. Not just for me, but for other users as well, if my reasoning is correct.
Tried something similar, but with no success with "jump to page" logic as we have 22 options on the initial question (checkboxes), that would make 4.5 million combinations that we need to implement into "jump to page logic" based on user choices. Having the option to show/hide whole pages will save a ton of time.
I have tried to hide all the blocks from the page, but the page is still shown. I would like to skip it entirety. I can't use jump to page because the combinatory logic is O^2, it's too much.
Developers! Please take a look at this suggestion! It's actually must have function. You have almost all features that your competitors such as Typeform have exept this one - page routing! And this is quite sad
Hi Adrien Bettini & Melissa Guller, Thanks for sharing this request :) Couldn't the "Jump to page" function meet this need?
Jonathan: not quite. Imagine page 1 has a multiple choice answer, ABC. I was trying to create a form with a routing system. So if they pick A, they get to see Page 2. If they pick B, they get to see page 3. But if they pick A and C, they should see Page 2 & 4, but not Page 3. That's where the "jump to page" is more limiting than logic built more like this: - If someone selects A, "Show page 2" - If someone selects B, "Show page 3" - If someone selects C, "Show page 4" And if they selected multiple, then it would show them the right pages. That's just the example I was in, but hopefully it makes sense. I was creating a client application and trying to create a single application that asked different questions based on which service(s) they were interested in.
Melissa Guller: Well put! I need this feature for a form I'm building today. I tried hiding all blocks on a page, but then I'm just left with an empty page. Ugh.
This would be huge! I often have a multiple choice question on page 1 that would determine which pages would be visible, based on their selections. It would make things much easier if conditional logic could be set at the page level rather than only the question/block level.
Hi everyone, Until now, conditional logic let you show or hide individual blocks or questions. With this update, you can select entire pages in one click, making it much easier to manage logic in multi-page forms. https://tally.so/changelog
