Change a block type/question type (e.g. H1 to H2, Multiple choice to Dropdown, etc.)
Basically like in Notion
Completed
Absolute single biggest thing that can be improved in Tally!
This feature is super important! I accidentally create 20 fields as a text which I know have to set all up from scratch as number instead of just changing the type, like airtable/notion/...
Additionally, ability to change question block types between compatible types. For example: change form multi-select to checkboxes or vice versa.
Bit Part Ye this would be really useful! Typing out all the answers, labelling the questions and then realising it might look better as multi-select or checkbox is very annoying.
Another vote for this. Given that you support logic too, not being able to change question type makes iteration quite hard, because deleting & recreating means you need to now go and adjust all references. But also, not being able to change e.g. a H1 heading to a H2 heading is ...quite a shortcoming. It’s also important for parity with other survey builders, since they all support this (AFAIK). Even an MVP form of this would be quite useful, for example: - Only being able to switch between related types, e.g. between multiple choice, scale, and matrix or long text and short text, or heading types. - Even if settings were not preserved, just preserving references to the question would be huge.
