I still think a better UI will serve better because the more scoring conditions you add, it becomes unbelievably long. It's more convenient to work with two windows, one showing the conditions/scoring logic, one showing the form (so I can read the questions).
I've sent a request to the support, but I don't believe there is any other workaround to make this simpler. The group logic for now only provides AND and OR. What I need is something like: IF answers from question 1-9 is A, each question should net 1 point. IF answers from question 1-9 is B, each question should net 2 points. IF answers from question 1-9 is C, each question should net 3 points. Well, basically I need the same scoring system for all items. Of course unless I missed something.
To finish setting up the scoring only for 2 items, I need 15 steps. Another thing to note: These 2 query items only have different "questions", but same answer options and same scoring system. If I can simply assign the score to the answer option (?), I can cut it down to only 4-6 steps. My request is simply a more efficient way to assign scoring for "screening tests". What I describe was just an example.
Current system: 1.) I have to pick the query (item number 1) 2.) I have to pick one of the answer option (answer number 1) 3.) I have to assign the score 4.) Duplicate 5.) I pick a different query (item number 1) 6.) I pick a different answer (answer number 2) 7.) Assign the score 8.) Duplicate 9.) I pick the query item number 2 10.) I pick answer number 1 11.) Assign the score 12.) Duplicate 13.) I pick the query item number 2 14.) I pick answer number 2 15.) Assign the score
Hi Silih, Thanks a lot for sharing this — I can definitely see how your setup can become quite complex, especially with scoring across multiple questions with the same structure. To help you find the most efficient workaround for your specific setup, could you please reach out to us at: 👉 https://tally.so/support If you can share a bit more detail about your form (and, most important, the form link), we’ll be happy to help you simplify the logic and suggest a setup that reduces the number of steps as much as possible. Looking forward to helping you streamline this! If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
