Allow switching question types between different data categories

Hi Tally Team,I really love using Tally for its clean, Notion-like interface and smooth form-building experience. However, I recently encountered a major pain point regarding data management when updating a live form.Currently, Tally only allows changing question types within the same category (e.g., Multiple Choice to Checkboxes, or Short Answer to Long Answer). If we need to change a question from a Select (Dropdown/Radio) to a Number input, we are forced to delete the old question and create a new one. This causes significant issues for live data tracking:Data Schema Conflict: It creates duplicate/extra columns in the exported Excel/CSV or Google Sheets, forcing us to manually merge and clean the data.Data Loss Risk: Respondents submitting forms during the brief update window often end up with missing data due to version mismatches.Suggestion: It would be a game-changer if Tally could support cross-category question type switching (e.g., converting a Select question to a Number or Short Text question) while keeping the same Question ID/Column. For data consistency, Tally could simply warn the user about potential data type casting issues upon publishing, or automatically convert historical data into text format in the export file. This flexibility is crucial for market researchers and data managers who need to iterate forms quickly without breaking active data pipelines.Looking forward to seeing this feature in future updates!Best regards,
