i really need conditional logic if the applicant is a minor or an adult; date based calculation relative to (now). different ages require different info gathering.
Would love to be able to show dates that are only 8 weeks after today in possible dates to chose. This way, I could show a specific text to email me if the date is in less than 8 weeks.
I would really love to have that. Try to build a form where i need to check if a kid is at least 18 Months old before the form can be submitted by the parent.. and i can't find a way to solve that right now.
Hello ! Currently we can disable days in the past. But it would be wonderful if we could disable days before or after a calculated field (type date) which would be relative from NOW()/@today. Now() or @today would be the timestamp of the user currently filling the form. My use case here is that I would need to prevent user from selecting a date within 7 days in the future. Kind regards !
Hi Gisella — thanks a ton for the feature request and for being a Tally user! We love hearing from you. ✌️
Hey Brophy — thanks a ton for the feature request and for being a Tally user! We love hearing from you. ✌️
I would like to calculate a period between initial and final date, and also have a logic of comparing the two dates that prevents the final date being earlier than the initial date
Linked date range based on another date field Ability to derive a date range automatically from a separate date field. Example: User selects an arrival date A second date field (or calculated value) automatically sets the departure date based on predefined rules (e.g. +7 days). Ideally, this would work without requiring the user to manually select the second date. that would be amazing
Would love this update! My client wants visitors to be able to calculate their transition fees when switching jobs. Tally cant do this yet because it only subtracts years when calculating dates, not months and days. Awesome update for the future ayeee :D
I'd love this as well. We use Tally to take orders for a bakery, but depending on products, we have to have at least 1/2 days head time. Here is the logic I'm adding as label right now (in case it helps inform building that feature). "All orders need to be made minimum one day in advance, with 12pm as cut-off time 🙏🏻. For example, if the order is to be delivered Jan 21st, the last timing to order will be Jan 20th at 12pm." I'd love the date field to do this. An alternative could be date calculation in calculated field and conditional logic. Both worthy additions imo. Love the product, thanks
Yes please, this would be a great addition to the date block
Depending on how far are we from specific date, Enable question requirement*. Like I work with events, and I need to know some mandatory info if the event is already near to current date. But if we're talking about an event that's 1 year from now, some questions can wait. Clients always meet us at different stages of the planning of the event, would be nice to be this flexible and accomodate for this with a feature like that.
Hey there — thanks so much for the thoughtful suggestion! This is actually a fairly popular request, and we’ve added it to our feature request board. It’s not available yet, but it’s definitely something we’re considering for future updates. Appreciate you sharing your use case — it really helps!
Logged this as a feature request! Thanks!
Hey Kendra Walther, we have just introduced "Today" as the default date input answer, so you could have something like this to achieve your desired result. 📆 If you have any questions or feedback, let me know! https://tally.so/changelog
me too, we need this feature also. pls proceed.
Yes, please! We need this :) :D
Hi Sathvik Kamath, this is not possible (yet) in Tally, thanks for this request!
I’d love to be able to have dates ‘grey out’ or disappear once selected and a form submitted. Basically a native booking calendar functionality would be great!
Rob Willoughby: this one might be more relevant for your need: https://tally.so/feedback/p/limit-number-of-of-submissions-p…
I'm a travel agent, so I'd love to have the option of a conditional on date questions, for example: If my client indicates that their check-in date is October 23, 2025, I would like the next date block where they must indicate the check-out date to automatically put the month and day that they previously selected in their check-in date and that the client does not have to click multiple times to find the month of October of the following year again. This would help prevent customer errors where they do not select the dates well. I LOVE YOUR TOOL, IT'S MAGIC
It would be great to implement an automatic block 2 days (or more or less) before the desired pick-up date, without requiring a specific date to be selected. This way, it can be tailored to each client's individual needs.
Also, is there also a way to use today's date in the date picker logic (like "After date" could be set to today or today + 3 days.) Thanks.
Time as well. "When" current time or date is between/after/before XX, "then" ZZZ. Example: If this form is being shown to customer during business hours, I want to ask different questions that if it is being shown after hours.
Hi @CXP @Make, you can prepopulate dates from a hidden field. The hidden field needs to be in this format: YYYY-MM-DD. For example: https://tally.so/r/XXXXX?date=2024-06-26 When it comes to calculations based on that date, that's not possible yet. Feel free to let me know if I can help further.
Hi Vincent, If you want your form to close on a particular date, you can use "Close form on a scheduled date" to set a scheduled date for closing it in your form's settings. That what you're looking for?
Now, i can do the other way round: to enable only specific dates. But it's harder to do this way. It would be awesome if the user could answer a range of dates, for example: from 12/01 until 15/01. I think it would give to little vacation rentals as mine a very powerful tool to build an small and automated CRM
This would be absolutely awesome. We use Tally for our booking form at our laundry service with pickup and delivery. It would be great to only enable delivery dates that are at least 1 or 2 days after the selected pickup date.
